The European school-project: Walk the dog!
The topic of animal protection hardly plays a role in schools’ schedules in Germany. Nevertheless, it is especially important for us to lead children and teenagers to be fair and responsible concerning animals. As consumers of tomorrow or future keepers of animals they take over responsibility of animals. The school project Walk the dog! makes an important contribution in order to prepare children and teenagers for this responsibility. Our comprehensive and profound teaching material is applicable for almost all school subjects and for every school stage with topics suitable for all ages.
The Erna-Graff-Foundation:
Consumers, farmers, animal keepers, and animal rights activists of tomorrow are important for the Erna Graff Foundation: these are those numerous children, who are activated by the foundation’s broadcast and teaching material.
Often sneered as a simple idiom, however parents and teachers do agree: “A tree must be bent while it is young.“ Amazing continuities in behaviour of young people observed for years prove this. Sustainable positive changes in dealing with animals as well as in social behaviour could only be reached by recommending the value of animals warmly to our children, and by imparting knowledge on the needs and on the modest use of animals; this is the greatest concern of the Erna Graff Foundation of Animal Welfare.
